Due to popular demand, I will present the Expanding your Vision Series in Centurion at MCademy Training Institute.
– 2-part creative photography series by Danie Bester (12 March and 19 March 2018)
During this 2-part series, I will cover the foundational aspects of vision and visual processes. I emphasise Vision as the single most important element of photography. Vision is not just observation, or mere "seeing". Vision is more important than technical prowess and sticking to the rules. Vision has no rules, but in order to expand your vision, you have to get to grips with some foundational elements, which involves dissecting the scenes we photograph through using age-old visual tools.
The presentation revolves around numerous mind-blowing images, shot by some of the best photographers ever. In practical and articulated fashion, I show how these images were created through following visual principles intuitively.
The series will conclude with a practical exercise, which will solidify what you have learned. You will also receive a complete set of notes for self-study afterwards as well as access to web resources.
