Thanks Danie. Will re-look at some of the previous shots and see if I can get it better.

I certainly have the Lightroom and Photoshop workshop on my list of things to do.

John, it is sometimes very difficult to critique on technical aspects like skin retouching without being able to show you how it is done, and I earnestly recommend you book for our Lightroom and Photoshop workshops. I will however, do my best to explain in a short as possible way to provide some food for thought... 

Skin retouching is slightly overcooked since you've lost a bit of the original pore-skin texture, with a vast colour difference between the face and neck areas. The face is "mid-tone" and needs a bit of light / exposure. Adding soft film grain will make the skin seems more natural and less "photo-shopped.
