Using an 15mm wide angle close up, created this distorted effect of the elephant near the camera. Used silver effects pro 2 to convert to B&W.Canon 5ds, 1/2000sec, Auto ISO, 15mm (canon 11-24mm)

Thanks Eugene. The photo was printed in last years edition of Africa Geographic.
Wow! This is awesome. You should try submitting this to Africa Geographic magazine. I am intrigued by how you did the B&W, for my personal taste I would have been inclined to go darker on the ellies, but this works... we live and learn!
Wow, an absolute stunning image
Wow Leo. Lovely image. I Like how the lead elephant catches your eye and then the almost triangular formation of the hear and the lines of the clouds draw ones eye into the rest of the image.
Beautiful shot. The elephant drinking on the right and the one with the ears out wide on the left looking inwards for me is perfect timing of the shot,
The low vantage point, wide angle distortion gives an interesting effect and I particularly like how the elephant closest to the camera grabs the attention and how my eye would then travel to the rest of the herd. Another feature Leo!
