Post and focus stacking was done in LR and PS.
For the curious, this wasn't a live tarantula, only the skin after moulting.

Hi Cecilia, I did step up the tonal contrast a bit, which does pop the details and colours a bit..

The crop and treatment does work better. Thanks, Danie. Did you only increase the contrast, increase the saturation as well?
I agree that the white space is distracting. Will have to see what I can do about that.
Wonderful, but I agree with Glen. The white section is distracting.
Scary indeed and I am glad it wasn't live. Love the details you got here, but I think you can emphasise the fangs and textures even more, by cropping some of the "dead" space at the bottom and enhancing the tonal contrast. My suggested treatment below. Tell me what you think:
