I was trying something different. My intention was not to create a sharp picture but rather a painted feel.
I sat in the dark and used my cellphone screen to 'paint' the light where I wanted it.

Great capture Amy! Everything works well. I would not mind seeing the colour a bit more desaturated on this one... might add a bit more to the mood but that's just a personal thing. Well done and keep it up!

This is outstanding and I am a fan. The painterly look and feel and reminiscing of the pictorialist era. I particularly like how you've used the negative space behind to create a little bit of tension and add to the mystery. Feature!
