Hello Di. Here are some of the acronyms used.
PP. POST PROCESSING.. THIS IS EDITING THE IMAGE
PS IS PHOTOSHOP
LR4 is Lightroom4. THIS IS A POERFUL EDITOR USED MOSTLY FOR ADJUSTING ALL OF THE FACTORS OF LIGHT. SATURATION EXPOSURE CONTRAST. CARITY AND MORE. IT IS VERY MUCH SIMPLER TO LEARN THAN PS. ALMOST EVERY IMAGE CAN BE SIGNIFICANTLY IMPROVED BY IT. THE FACT IS THAT A DIGITAL SENSOR COLLECTS DIGITALS SIGNALS THAT DO NOT REPRESENT AN IMAGE. SOFTWARE WITHIN THE CAMERA INTERPRETS WHAT IT DEEMS TO BE THE COLOURS AND SHARPNESS. THIS DONE BY SOFTWARE IN THE CAMERA. DIFFERENT SENSORS WITHIN MODELS WILL HARDLY EVER PRODUCE THE SAME IMAGE ITO COLOURS CONTRAST ETC. LR ALLOWS THE USER TO RECREATE WHAT THE SCENE ACTUALLY SHOWED IT CAN ALSO ENHANCE COLOURS ETC.
I USE IT ON EVERY SINGLE PIC. YOU MAY THINK MY PICS ARE GOOD BUT EDITING MAKES THEM POP. IN DUE COURSE YOU CAN EMAIL SOME OF YOURS AND I WILL EDIT AND RETURN.
DOF. DEPTH OF FIELD
BG BACKGROUND
OOF. OUT OF FOCUS
THESE ARE THE MORE COMMON ONES
HAVE YOU BEEN ON ANY COURSES. I GUESS DANIE'S.

Thank you very much Di. I would be pleased to share ideas. I tried unsuccessfully to attach the article I would like to send. I could send it to you by email. Mike

And thank you kindly for your comments. This is not false modesty but capturing good images in the streets is relatively easy once you have good camera handling skills which is merely practice. Then some help and you will be surprised with the results. Besides Nepal and India are so rich in opportunities. Please post some more work, mike

I will try and attach in another comment a short article I wrote on the subject.
