Scaling in Photoshop to change the composition

So I had an interesting critique on 1x for this image, and the overwhelming feeling was that I need to rescale the image to give the bottom more emphasis. They felt there was "too much sky". So the…Continue

Hi all,I have really started to enjoy travel photography, focusing on landscapes especially. When I travel to a new city I carry my D750 with my 20mm f/1.8, and my D7000, mostly with my 50mm f/1.8,…Continue

"The idea i like, as do i the composition. Just think the image is very one dimensional. Less exposure may give the snow some character."

"Love the composition Nadia but I feel there is something missing here. Maybe a bit more contrast or drop the exposure a bit to add a bit more mood."

"Hi Marius, Unfortunately the science behind photography means that you have 3 areas you can control to control the light entering your camera: aperture, ISO, and shutter speed. I always see it as a compromise situation - it so rarely happens in…"

I am trying to become an actuary, so to break all the numbers and logic I take photos as a hobby (although I have to say it's becoming more of an addiction than a hobby!).

I have a Nikon D750, and I use mainly my 20mm f/1.8 lens, although my 24-70mm and 70-200mm also always have a space in my backpack. 99% of my editing is done in Lightroom.

I am South African but I've been living in Zurich, Switzerland since October 2013.
